Some of the most vulnerable places in America are also the most beautiful, and the most overlooked by the profession best positioned to help them. The Weight of Water grew out of two decades of work in the Mississippi Delta and Gulf Coast, asking what becomes possible when AI can see what human systems have historically chosen not to prioritize. Presented at three consecutive AIA National Conferences on Architecture, this is the talk that tends to change what people think the profession is for.
